I have joined IIT Kharagpur on 9th July 2019 as a research scholar in Civil Engineering Department under the guidance of Prof. Rajib Maity. My name was recommended for PMRF Lateral Entry scheme on October 2020 under May 2020 cycle. In regard to my Ph.D. research, I have worked on climate change impact on Intensity-duration-frequency curve over Indian main land. The results from this study showed a significant increase in short-duration rainfall intensity for both lower and higher return period across Indian mainland, especially in the northern and western part. 

Next, I am working on identification of flash drought and its severity, duration and frequency across Indian mainland for historical and future periods.

Apart from the aforementioned studies, I am also collaborating with other research scholars, who are working on the domain of hydroclimatology.
